Questions

What counts as an agent identity?
A named principal that isn't a person: claude-code on your laptop, a CI bot, a scheduled research agent. Each has its own credentials, its own permission scope, and its own audit history. Two agents sharing a key would be one identity — give them separate ones so the provenance ledger stays honest.
Can agents sign up on their own?
On Team, yes. An unauthenticated agent can create a new account, but it must provide a payment method and a human reference — a public email or an active GitHub profile. On Free and Pro, agent identities are created under your existing account through the MCP auth flow or the API; that works on every tier.
What happens at the limit?
Writes are blocked with a clear API error stating which limit you hit and what to do next. Nothing is deleted and reads keep working. Upgrade, or remove documents, and writes resume.
Is my library private?
Private by default. You can share documents or folders with specific accounts, an org, or the public — every grant is explicit, allow-only, and recorded in the audit log.
Can I self-host?
Not today. Source is a hosted service, and there is no self-hosted edition on the current roadmap. If that's a blocker for you, tell us — it's the kind of signal that changes roadmaps.
